BKOC Member Bio - Cliff and Sherri Gourlie

From Sherri's earliest days, her life was full of dogs.  Her grandparents bred Dachshunds under the Royalea Reg'd kennel name and she was actively involved in the care of the dogs and the raising of the puppies.

Coincidentally, Cliff's parents also had various Dachshund dogs during his childhood.  It was almost as if these two people had such similar backgrounds they were destined to be together.

We obtained our first collie in 2000 with the purchase of a smooth sable merle male from Kendale Perm. Reg'd.  He was to replace the recent loss of a collie cross and from the first moment demonstrated that he had the same wonderful personality.  With the purchase of a rough blue merle female in 2004 our fate of a future with collies was determined.

We have such a passion for dogs that most of our life revolves around them.  The last few years have centered on conformation showing with CH. Kendale Gimme Some in 2005, and entering the competitive agility scene in 2006 with Kendale Broderick Buddy and in 2007 with CH. Kendale Gimme Some.

Under the Clishe Reg'd kennel name, Cliff and Sherri welcomed their first litter in April 2008 and are planning for the next future litter in Spring 2009.  "It has always been our goal to raise dogs and we look forward to many years of fulfillment".  We also recently expanded our family by retaining a female rough collie puppy named Clishe Black Magic from our first litter and are excitedly planning her busy future.

We have been members of the Barrie Kennel and Obedience Club since 2007 and are active members in the AAC (Agility Association of Canada) and CKC (Canadian Kennel Club).
